What Is a Fibroblast Nose Job & Does It Really Work?

FACE loves a powerful nose, but we also know that sometimes corrective work can help us fully embrace our features. Want to change the shape of your nose with non-invasive methods? Introducing plasma fibroblast, a cutting-edge technology that uses a plasma beam to shrink pores and tighten skin. When applied to the nose, a fibroblast nose job shrinks excess tissue on and around your nose bulb and nostrils, leading to a more toned and sculpted look.

WHAT IS A FIBROBLAST NOSE JOB?

Plasma fibroblast is a non-invasive skin tightening technique that can change the shape of your nose bulb and nostrils. When used on the nose, this technology is most effective at toning and sculpting skin while reducing pore size. It can also be used to achieve a nose lift, a slimmer look below the nasal bridge, and greater facial symmetry.

Though plasma has been used for years in a surgical context, it has only recently become popular as a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure.

Here is how it works: plasma, a state of matter in the form of ionized gas, is heated and applied in small bursts above the surface of your skin using a handheld device, like the Plasma Pen.

This results in a pattern of micro-injuries that target the fibroblast cells in your skin. These cells produce collagen and elastin fibers—two elements that are essential for healthy, youthful-looking skin.

Your body registers the treatment as an injury, which kicks your fibroblast cells into action, leading to a substantial increase in collagen production. As these micro-injuries heal, they tighten and lift skin, while the added dose of collagen improves skin volume and texture.

In trained hands, this technique delivers highly targeted results to firm, smooth, and rejuvenate your skin. FACE proprietress Desiree uses the Korean-manufactured Plaxpot Plasma Pen, an FDA-approved device with fewer risks and side effects compared to other options.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?

You will likely feel an instant tightening effect after your session, but your skin will continue to lift and tighten over the next 6-8 weeks. The final results of the fibroblast nose job session will be visible after 12 weeks, and the skin can continue to tighten up to the 6-month post-treatment mark.

Depending on your end goal, you may need more than one session to achieve your desired level of tightening and nose slimming. However many clients who have opted for plasma fibroblast nose contouring at FACE have witnessed the nose-sculpting effect after just 1 session.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER FIBROBLAST NOSE SLIMMING?

After your fibroblast nose job session, your nose will be tender and covered with tiny red dots—those micro-injuries we mentioned. You may also have some swelling and redness where the skin was treated.

It usually takes between 5 and 14 days for the tiny dots to turn to brown crusts and fall off your face as they heal. In some cases, the healing can take more than 14 days. Again, depending on the level of correction you seek, you may need to undergo 2-3 sessions to achieve your desired results. Follow-up sessions can be performed every 3 months.

During the fibroblast nose contouring treatment, the plasma device creates micro-injuries that tighten the skin as they heal. In this case, the nose bulb was expertly sculpted to create a slimming effect.

CAN FIBROBLAST MAKE YOUR NOSE SMALLER?

Absolutely! The treatment does make your nose appear smaller and can also be used to correct nasal asymmetry. Check out these plasma pen nose contouring before and after images to see what we mean.

While a fibroblast nose job can leave you with a smaller, more sculpted nose, it cannot reduce the size of your nasal bone, nor can it be used to slim the bony cartilage on your nose.

Here is what plasma pen nose sculpting can do

  • Narrow the nostrils.

  • Slim a bulbous nose.

  • Reduce the width of the nose below the bridge.

  • Lift the tip of the nose.

  • Minimize the appearance of large pores.

  • Decrease blackheads.

The results achieved with a fibroblast nose contour procedure will not be as dramatic as a traditional rhinoplasty, but there are fewer risks and side effects. Plus, a fibroblast nose job can be a helpful procedure to try first if you are considering surgery.

HOW LONG DOES NOSE CONTOURING LAST?

While the effects of non-invasive treatments are always temporary, you can expect your results to last for a year or more, depending on age and lifestyle factors. To maintain that sculpted look for as long as possible, we recommend boosting your collagen intake.

Once you have completed the recommended number of fibroblast nose sessions, the results can last up to 3 years, depending on your age and lifestyle habits.

TAKEAWAY

  • A fibroblast nose job is a quick, non-invasive, less painful way to get a toned, sculpted nose.

  • Plasma fibroblast is affordable with minimal downtime compared to invasive cosmetic procedures like surgical rhinoplasty.

  • The results from your fibroblast nose job can last for years, and you can repeat the treatment as necessary to maintain the tightening and sculpting effect.
